Staycation Writing Retreat:
In-Person, Sept. 29, 2023
A one-day writing retreat in your backyard!
Nestling oneself in a cabin in the woods, a cottage by the ocean, an Italian villa for a weekend . . . a week . . . a month, ah, the writer’s retreat dream! Now here’s the reality: jobs and partners and kids and dogs and cats and hamsters and all the things that keep that writer’s retreat dream a dream.
Enter the one-day, local writing retreat! Our first retreat in May sold out so we are doing it again!
You don’t have to travel far to jumpstart or recharge your creativity. Give your writing self the gift of a single day to focus on your project, meet other local writers, and get tips from a traditionally published author.
Appropriate for writers at all levels in all genres, this single day encourages you to:
-
Generate new material
-
Explore the use of writing prompts
-
Try the “sprinting” method
-
Make new writing friends
-
Build a writing community
-
Begin to hold yourself accountable to what you love
-
Get answers to writing and industry questions from a traditionally published author, editor, and writing instructor who specializes in helping writers commit to their projects
